Pros and cons of deliberateLIFE Magazine app for iPhone and iPad

deliberateLIFE Magazine app good for

Beautiful layout. Compelling articles. Great value and genuine.
Quite for anyone interested in a more mindful life, this magazine has meaningful content, very interesting researches in several topics and gorgeous presentation. All of that for 4.99$ yearly and both current and first issues are free.

Some bad moments

I need to be able to magnify the characters and have them be clear. The newsstand of the first issue doesnt appear to let me do that, and the print is too small otherwise. That said, the layout and pictures are beautiful, and I really enjoy the substance. Definitely pick up if you like Whole Living, good, or Real Simple, but want to be other- directed.
What an informative and ambitious first issue! Such helpful information on small things one can do to live deliberately and also amazing stories of big things others have done. Im inspired!
I like the concept and the stories. Unfortunately the e-version is plagued with misspellings and grammatical errors (e.g., affect instead of effect, dangling participles) that detract from the reading experience. Also, it appears to have been simply created by scanning in the print version as some pages have words cut off at the crease. I cancelled my subscription which is too bad. I like the idea but the production is amateur. They need a good editor.
This is my first time writing a review for an iTunes purchase. I just cant stay quiet about so much wasted potential! The ideas for articles here are really interesting to me, but the execution is not up to par. Frankly I was hoping for more polished, professional writing. Granted, I have not read every article thru and thru. Id like to, but the iPad reading experience for this magazine is awful. This is my first iPad magazine purchase--is it always like this? Tiny font, with no way to increase font sizes? Negligible navigation control? I cant even get to the table of contents easily! Honestly I dont know if these issues are specific to this publication, or iPad magazine reading, or just my tech skills. I just know that I expected a better reading experience. Im not giving up 100% on the publication and its interesting story ideas, but man, I sure will if these issues arent sorted out.
The typeset is way too small and there is no setting to chaNge
I love to take the pulse of the generations and deliberateLIFE is the pulse of the heart of our 20-somethings. That said, it is such a great instructive on how to live an essential, thoughtful, and passion-filled life of love and happiness with fulfillment.
